Well Control Survey Contracts Achieved!

Gefion Nordic Norway has entered into an agreement with AkerBP, for the Well Control Survey on the Maersk Interceptor and Maersk Invincible jack up units.

We are very proud to announce that we have been commissioned to perform well control survey on the two largest and most advanced Ultra Harsh Environment rigs in the Norwegian sector.

Maersk Interceptor, has been delivered by Keppel Fels Shipyard in Singapore in 2014 and Maersk Invincible delivered by DSME, Okpo in South Korea in 2016, both owned by Maersk Drilling AS and operated by Maersk Drilling Norway.

In close co-operation with AkerBP, Maersk Drilling Norway and the offshore rig crews, these verification of equipment and crew competence are ongoing.

This ensures that the continuous survey on the rigs secure a history and cooperation between the parties that contribute to the safety and quality of the equipment, as well as the already high skills level of the teams on board being developed and contribute as an extremely important part of overall high performance and low NPT, where safety has been the foundation for cooperation between the parties.

The knowledge and trust of the maintained equipment ensures that all parties are well equipped in the event of a well control situation, and Gefion Nordic Norway is very proud to contribute actively and positively to this confidence in acting responsive and correct against a situation that could develop into a hazard event.

We thank all parties involved for the cooperation in defining the contracts and look forward to provide the highest possible quality to ensure a safe and efficient future for both rigs and crews.
